Setting Personal Aims and Objectives / Pirates of the Carabina

This week is all about ice breakers. This week offers a workshop by Pirates of the Carabina Circus Company alongside activities planning personal aims and objectives the pupils hope to achieve by participating in the project.

Meeting the Clients

A week where the charities come in to answer questions and support pupils through careful planning and brainstorming. During this week, the pupils will also research resources and profile customers/ service users.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Santander Universities run a workshop around budgeting and forecasting for their ideas, this workshop also advises pupils on valuable information around general banking. Natwest will run a workshop alongside Santander focusing on crowdfunding and creating business plans which will support them when developing their project plan for the project outputs.

Planning your future

A workshop by Careers Wales and North Wales Economic Ambition Board raising awareness of the work opportunities in North Wales, highlighting the skills requirements and the questions pupils need to be thinking about and asking employers.

Meet the Employers

A range of employers, organisations and entrepreneurs are invited to the University to share backgrounds and stories of their career paths and offering support and advice. The pupils and students have an opportunity to make the most of this time to enquire about opportunities and question these individuals about anything they’d like to know about the job roles and careers discussed.

The Project

A week working on project plans and polishing off ideas.

Crowdfunding Film

A workshop ran by a Filmographer focused on developing the crowdfunding film required for the final. In this workshop pupils plan a story real and decide on who and if they will interview clients and service users within their film.

Filming Workshop

A week to finish off the crowdfunding film and to invite any guests in for filming.

Client visit

Charities come back for a final visit for pupils to ask any last-minute questions and share their ideas.
The Pecha Kucha/ Stage Workshop: A workshop to introduce the Pecha Kucha presentation, the presentation format required for the final pitch, alongside a presentation and workshop from Mared Huws (Blas Project) and the Pontio Tech team to develop stage skills and microphone skills.

Presentation planning/ The Princes Trust

A workshop to finish their presentations and practise, alongside a workshop from the prince’s trust to support their plans and to develop their entrepreneurial skills.

Polishing Off

The last week before the big Pitch. This week is an opportunity to polish off any unfinished work and to practise their presentations.

The Profi Pitch

It’s the week they’ve all been working towards: All schools come together to pitch their project ideas and share their crowdfunding films to an audience including Profi sponsors and partners, local businesses, organisations, University Academic and staff, charities and teachers and parents.

The Final Review

This is an opportunity to capture feedback and share ideas for next year.
